This is a time machine instrument. Looks like it was built a few month's ago ! When it comes to collectable Fender artist signature models, this model and year has to be at the very top. Clapton was the 1st artist that Fender collaborated with to do a signature guitar. Yngwie Malmsteen was a very close second. This guitar is in collector clean condition. Torino Red. FWIW, black was not a stock color until 1991. To be honest, really amazing guitar through and through. Original tweed case and tremolo arm. One end of the tweed case has some staining. Let me know if you need pics of that. No other case candy is included. If you want the very best, here it is !!! All sales are final. Listing may end at any time as I have this advertised on FB marketplace and the Albany, NY CL. Thanks.
PLEASE READ:
Even though this has a 1988 serial # it "may" be a 1989(neck heel /body pocket date markings) as some of the '88 serial # neck made there way onto some '89's. I did NOT want to pop the neck off to determine this as the neck pocket is tight and did not want to risk any finish pocket chipping. Just trying to convey what I have been told about these early signature Clapton guitars. Thanks.
