2000 Westerly Guild X-150D with sunburst finish. I bought this guitar new in 2000 at one of the many guitar stores that were still open in Denver. I played every one I could find in the metro area and this was the best by far. It really sings with nitro lacquer finish and thinner plates than an es-175. I actually bought it to replace my '57 175 that had feedback issues and woofy bass. It did the job great for many years. I'm no longer playing in situations where I need it so I'm passing it onto the next generation.
It was played a lot and has the usual bumps and bruises you'd expect from a 24 year old gigging guitar. There is a crack in the finish where the neck joins the body but the joint is solid. I used flatwounds on it with no string bending so the frets are in great shape. The neck is straight and the action is low. It's an easy player. I didn't like the original pickguard with the guild logo so I replaced it with a handmade rosewood pickguard. The original pickguard is missing. The original truss rod cover cracked so it has been replaced with a replica cover. All the other parts are original. The sale includes the original Guild TKL case in very good condition.
