You can lower the volume with the knob on the side of the main unit, and turn it on and off with the foot switch.
Since it passes through a FET BUFFER made up of carefully selected parts, it always outputs stable Hi-Fi sound.
It can be used in a variety of ways, such as adjusting the volume for backing and solo, controlling the gain of the amplifier, etc.
