About This Listing

This listing is for one Wiggins Brand, all wood, alnico 5, hand wound, Strat style guitar pickup set. The pickups are made from solid Walnut tops and Maple bottoms, and come with a custom Barbed wire etched design. They are Texas over wound for an That amazing full Bluesy Strat tone with a little more bite ( hot wound Bridge and vintage wound middle and neck pickups ).

 > Pickups are made in the U.S.A. from solid instrument grade hard woods.

>All of my Strat pickups will fit into any standard Fender pick guard.

>I make each pickup in my studio by hand and guarantee its quality.

>All pickups are hand wound, scatter wound, 42 or 43 gauge enameled wire

> lacquer dipped, wax potted.

> Flush alnico 5 pole pieces.

> Heavy ribbon taped for coil protection.

>10” Vintage style cloth wrapped copper lead wires.

> Comes with mounting screws and tubes.

My pickups are not reverse wound, reverse polarity. Almost all vintage pickups were not RWRP that started some time in the 1970's by after market pickup makers. I know the RWRP cuts down on some of the back ground noise from the single coils but it also cuts out a ton of tone.

About wood tone: Wood bobbins impart a flavor and warmth to the tone of a pickup. You cannot get the same sweet smooth tone from a fiber bobbin pickup. I use solid hard woods on both top and bottom of my pickups for unmatched tone and warmth. If you’re a guitarist who prefers pure tone over hype, My wood pickups are for you!
