The pickups are made from solid Walnut tops and Maple bottoms, and come with a custom Barbed wire etched design. They are Texas over wound for an That amazing full Bluesy Strat tone with a little more bite ( hot wound Bridge and vintage wound middle and neck pickups ).

 My pickups are not reverse wound, reverse polarity. Almost all vintage pickups were not RWRP that started some time in the 1970's by after market pickup makers. I know the RWRP cuts down on some of the back ground noise from the single coils but it also cuts out a ton of tone.

About wood tone: Wood bobbins impart a flavor and warmth to the tone of a pickup. You cannot get the same sweet smooth tone from a fiber bobbin pickup.
