About This Listing

Physical Condition
This bass is in good condition, but has been played a bit over the years and shows some wear. There are a handful of dents and dings over the entire body, along with plenty of light scratches, scuffs, and swirl marks. There are also a handful of light bumps on the back of the neck here and there, and some bumps and scuffs around the tip and edges of the headstock. There is a stress crack in the corner of the neck pocket that seems like it may be in the wood, but it doesn't have an effect on the joint itself. There are plenty of fine scratches and scuffs on the pickguard, and the hardware has some tarnishing present and could use a quick cleanup during the next restring. Otherwise, there is no other cosmetic damage to make note of aside from some incredibly light superficial scratches associated with normal play and use. Overall, this is a great sounding and playing bass.

Fretwear
This bass only has some light wear on the first few frets, but no other type of fret damage.

Action
Action is medium low and plays great, but may need a quick tweak to your liking.

Electronics
All electronics work properly and sound great.

Case
Original Peavey hardshell case included.

Product Overview
The Peavey T-40 was one of the brand's first bass designs ever, and popular for its affordability and construction. Although the T-40 is heavy, it's built like a tank and can consequently take a beating. The T-40 bass sports two Toaster-style pickups and two switches, amongst other appointments, and can be found fretless in the Peavey T-40FL model.
