Early model Neumann U87 large diaphragm condenser microphone. Excellent condition, all original. As you can see, the capsule is all original and is in excellent condition as well. This is one of the most desirable models. Sounds absolutely wonderful on everything. Small thing is that the mic wobbles a little bit on the swivel. It doesn't create any problems, probably swivel joint needs to be tightened up, but it never bothered me, or may be it's meant to be not completely tight, I don't know. The body is perfect, with just a couple of very minor scratches and no dents. The grill is in great condition, with no visible dents. The circuit board is spotlessly clean. All switches work perfectly. No faults whatsoever. No humidity issues, no blow test problems. This microphone has never let me down. It's always ready, and it always gives me amazing result, at whichever distance I may use it. In your recording you will have just the sound you can trust. It doesn't gives the unpleasant synthesized robotic feeling of the modern mics. This mic looks and sounds just stunning. The sound is so smooth, continuous, and real. It brings the magic of the golden era of FET condenser microphones. Modern capsules and transformers just don't sound as smooth. As an object, it will only go up in value as well, as it's not easy to find one in such a great condition these days. I will post insured, or collection is possible from London.
