About This Listing

1976 Les Paul Custom in Wine Red. All in all, it is a very good condition player grade Norlin era custom. It has a fresh refret with medium jumbo frets. The pickups are Seymour Duncan Saturday Night Specials. Pots and switches are original, to my knowledge. The cream plastic is aftermarket. It does come with the original black pick guard. The bridge is a modern ABR bridge, but the original is included as well. The top has 3 small screw holes from an old Roland/midi pickup. The original case is included. It is in fair condition. Two latches are busted and the tolex is rough, but the case is functional. Holler with any questions.

Product Overview
While made during one of the company's most controversial eras when many players saw a sacrifice of quality for profit margins, the Gibson Les Paul Customs of the Norlin Era can be diamond-in-the-rough finds for players with a keen eye. In particular, if you're looking for iconic LP growl with the workhorse construction that made these guitars a legend in the first place, many guitarists and luthiers alike point to the late '70s/early '80s models as capstones of the era.
