Hey now! I am absolutely humbled to offer one of the rarest guitars I've ever had the pleasure of playing.

This is a 1968 Gibson EMS-1235 Double Neck Electric Guitar & Mandolin.

It weighs 9 lbs 2 oz. Mandolin scale length - 13.75", and the nut width is 1.22". Guitar scale length - 24.75", and the nut width is 1.67"

Gibson began making double-necks in 1958, but because of their expense, they were only available on a custom order basis. The first of course, was the EDS-1275 with 6/12 string necks.

These double-necks were offered until '68, and were all custom-order basis.

Stretched SG body, bound rosewood fingerboard, one set of two Volume and two Tone controls that govern both necks.

This is so so so extremely rare, and probably a custom order, one of a kind.

Featuring an 8 string mandolin neck married to a 6 string guitar neck.

Gibson Patent Sticker in the neck & Patent Etched at the bridge.

As insanely rare as this is, the best part is that it goes beyond a collectors guitar. It's playable, and sounds amazing.

Every quintessential Gibson tone is available here, and more.

Want sustain? You got it! Mid-range push? Right here. Want punchy, beautiful articulate notes with shimmering chords?? Flip a switch!

This particular guitar is in good condition, especially considering its age.

It was just setup, the necks are straight, and the frets are clean.

Normal playwear you'd expect from a near 60 year old instrument. But you can tell it was very well taken care of and loved. Marks/scratches, dings/dents, buckle rash, what looks like a routing line under the guitar neck pickup.

Please carefully look through all of my detailed photos for a better visual description.

This is truly a once in a lifetime opportunity to own a piece of one of Gibson's rarest guitars with this EMS-1235.

Thanks for looking!
