Keller 4” x 13”di COVER GRADE Magnum 5 ply maple snare drum shell. Baring edge& snare bed available

Welcome to Fly By Night Drums! We have a huge line of Keller maple drum shells that are proudly made in the USA. Unless otherwise stated; all drum shells are of first quality and of a stainable grade. We have also made a special purchase of cover grade shells and these will be listed as such with special pricing. Check out our Reverb store  and other instrument selling platforms for more deals.

NOTE: The drum shells pictured may or may not be the shell that you receive. Shells are cut from larger tubes and there is no guarantee that you will receive one of a particular grain etc. This is particularly true for “cover grade” shells. Please read the description carefully so you are informed of the item you are purchasing as there are no returns on drum shells.

This listing is for a 4” x 13” diameter, COVER GRADE,   Magnum 5 ply Keller maple shell.

Shells are cut to the depthat the time of purchase. NOTE: THE DEPTH OF YOUR SHELL MAY VARY BY 1/8” DUE TO THE WIDTH OF THE SAW BLADE.

This shell is considered "Covered Grade" appropriate for wrapped or opaque painted drum applications.

This could mean several things:

list of 3 items

1. The shell may have an outer ply that has an off color wood or grain pattern, mineral streaks, insect marks  or a manufacturing defect that is aesthetic

in nature.

2. Some of the above mentioned issues may be visible through clear or light colored stains or dyes. Therefore, we recommend these shells be wrapped or

painted solid/opaque colors. (Many companies use Covered Grade shells regularly for high volume shells or sets that are wrapped.)

3. The seam is within specification and filled but may not be completely closed.

list end

These shells are round and structurally sound. The above listed (possible) defects are aesthetic only and will have no effect on the sound or performance.

These American made 8 ply drum shells are hand-crafted from custom-molded North American Maple veneers. They are made using

all-Maple ply’s. This is a new drum shell with no holes, hardware, bearing edges or rings.

We can cut baring edges of a single 45 degrees, a double 45 degree or a round-over  on Magnum, 8 ply and 10 ply shells. The cost for baring edges is $30 per drum. On 6 ply shells; We can cut a single 45 degree edge only. The cost is $30.00 per shell.

We can also cut a shallow snare bed on shell diameters of 10”, 12”, 13”, or 14”  for $20 per shell. NO snare beds are cut  on shells deeper than 8 inches. We do not do any Final sanding.

Shipping Note:  If you wish to purchase more than one of our eBay shells we will be happy to combine shipping. Many shells of different diameters can often be

nested inside one another and packed into the same box for nearly the same price as the largest shell being ordered.  To do this, purchase the shells of

your choice and request a combined invoice.  We will calculate the shipping for you and send you a single invoice.

We will ship your order with insurance included. If your package arrives with damaged products, please save all packaging, take photos of the damaged areas and contact the shipping company to make a claim. We are not responsible for items once they have left our facility. Sorry, there are no refunds on drum shells as they are custom cut at time of order.
