This is a very rare cowboy guitar. There were many made in the Parlor body size but this is the only one I could find with a full 15 3/8 in. body. With it's all new bracing system it has a bigger much better sound than its parlor size brothers. This guitar came to me as a complete basket case. Someone attempted some major repairs (some with gorilla glue) ...and they failed......at all of them. This is a list of the restoration work.
Remove neck and reset dovetail. correct neck angle. Repair neck heel crack. Remove and install new frets. Strip, flatten, and re-radius the original fretboard to 12 in. new bone nut & saddle. New Rosewood belly bridge. Original tuners work good and look like new. Set up with DiAddario 12 gauge strings.
Remove and replace the entire back plate. Install COMPLETE new Modern X Sitka spruce bracing system to the the Top, back and sides. They never put side braces on these type guitars. I add complete side braces to all my restores. Cream color binding was added to the back when the back was reinstalled. The top original binding is paint. The graphic is in great shape, this guitar plays and sounds excellent. Comes with a good shape black chipboard case.
An incredible amount of effort put into this guitar too bring it back to life. It is WAYYYY better than it ever was! See the pic's and ask questions. Please see my other listings. Thank you Steve SKR
