About This Listing

1997 Hofner Beatle Bass '63 Re-Issue. Bass has minor play wear marks and one ding on the tip of the head stock (pictured). Bass is set up with the Hofner Beatle strap as Paul did it, so there are NO strap buttons (pictured). Pick guard is not original to the bass, its is a Genuine Hofner (German) guard but does not accurately mirror the basses outline, not sure why. I originally bought the bass without a pick guard. Please let me know if you require more pics or info. Shipping is for the continental US only, NO International Shipping.

While the majority of 500/1s from the 1980s retained the "Blade" pickup, some were manufactured with Hofner's "Staple" pickup as well. The standard 500/1 remained in production until 1996, when it was discontinued in favor of reissues.
