This is what I believe to be a 1953 Fender D8 Stringmaster double 8 string steel guitar. It has the early chrome pickup covers, lollipop tuners and NO thumbwheels for the pickup balance, that came in 54. It has its original tweed case in rough shape. It has 4 legs and everything works great. The pots were changed back in the 90s.. This one is the long 26" scale. It still has its original finish. What a cool find. This is a pretty rare guitar. Don't miss out. Oh and I have not cleaned it in any way so it will come with all its original patina. I have been chewed out for doing so, go figure. I sold this online a few months ago and my employee left one of the legs out and he said the case was not repairable. I have worked on it some so it can be used but the outside latches are busted. Im going to try and order some as they can in fact be repaired.
