**UPDATE: Potentiometer metal plates with scale marks newly milled (CNC) and adhered. See new pictures (As of 11/05/23)**
I am selling a Triangle Big Muff V1 here. It was manufactured in 1969. It works flawlessly and sounds phenomenal. I've been making music myself for many years and have never heard a comparable kind of gainstage.
This pedal is what you might call a "barn find." A friend of mine came across the pedal unexpectedly and sold it to me in a non-working condition. I repaired it myself. I'm a professional in the field and know what I'm doing.
Everything is original except for the footswitch (original Carlington SPDT) and the sustain potentiometer. Three PCB traces were bridged with wires as they were damaged. Unfortunately, someone drilled a hole through the sustain knob at some point, hence the hole. The "OFF" switch is currently not connected and therefore non-functional. A blue indicator LED is inserted from behind through a screw hole (see Image 2). Currently, it is set up for "Power-Plant" operation: a 5.5x2.1mm DC plug is connected via battery clips and routed externally through a gap in the housing. Very practical for live performances. Reverting it to its original state (without LED, without connection cable, with OFF switch, and battery operation) can be done without leaving any residue and can be done by me upon request.
If you have any further questions, please let me know. Professionally recorded sound samples with different guitars and amps are available upon request. Price is negotiable, but please keep in mind that this is a 60+ year old rarity, which commands its value.
(Loud) testing is possible and encouraged in my studio in Berlin-Friedenau, Germany.
