Vintage 1960s Hofner 457/12 String Archtop Hollowbody Sunburst

Body and neck on this guitar are in pretty good shape. Neck angle is good and it plays comfortably up the neck. It looks like there was a possible home repair to the bridge (see glue in photo) and that the heel of the neck may have been repaired. Some knicks, dings and checking, but these do not affect the playability. It is super comfortable and light. Acoustically it sounds nice. Electronics, however, are in need of repair so it is being sold AS-IS. There is sometimes some volume coming through the pick ups, but, more hum than not. It seems like there may be a grounding issue as the hum goes away when you fret the guitar or touch other parts of it.

The is an autograph on the pickguard that should be able to be removed should anyone like to try. We don't know who signed it.
