Vintage Slingerland 30's Maple/Mahogany Custom 10 lug RADIO STUDIO KING Snare Drum - Gloss Black Enamel-NEW Build!

*A 1930's Maple /Mahogany Slingerland Radio King tacked bottom head *floor tom shell, *cut down at the second reinforcement ring , *flipped upside down and converted into a 10 lug Slingerland Studio King. Mahogany interior ply with a 1/4" 1 ply "steambent?" maple outer ply. Drum is outfitted with 20 Sound King 1/2 bearly used & 1/2 nos Lugs, Classic TDR Throw off and but plate and trademark COS 10 lug Sticksaver hoops ! Ladies & Gentlemen , the "ONE and ONLY" Percussionisms special build the Slingerland - "STUDIO RADIO KING" ~made in Louisiana~ ALL U.S. MADE with Trademark Vintage "MADE in the U.S.A. Slingerland Drum Parts" *1930's SLINGERLAND RADIO KING shell work creating a 10 lug STUDIO KING with a TDR throw off assembly and 1979 some NOS single ended sound king lugs. Before any ugly messages or death threats "DO KNOW",.. In the PAST - Someone tried to add floor tom legs to this tub and has extra holes 3 spots of spots (tru-molestation)!!!! Extra holes were small though and hardly a factor. You can clearly see the in the batter side re-ring in the open bottom picture. SO, the "drum gods" gave me permission to get creative. It was such a perfect candidate for such a build as this. A VERY Special thanks to Mr. Ackerman for his guidance with cutting/edging the bottom and support in my vision. I cut the snare beds in myself about 1/8 from the bearing edge. Drum sounds wonderful and I can sell it with Pride in my build. NOT PERFECT by any means and if you want to run the finish through serious critique. If you hold up in direct sun ,some specks of dust are present HENCE the price! HOWEVER , THIS is a lot of BANG for the BUCK ! Plus, you won't find a 10 lug original radio king as the didn't exist in mahogany unless i'm wrong please let me know.
