Vintage RARE 1969 Hondo HM5E F Style Electric Mandolin Sunburst Pro Setup Original Hard Shell Case

We have sold a bunch of 1960's Harmony Electric Mandolins but we have never seen or knew of one of these until it showed up here in the shop! Very very rare!!

A Really Cool and in beautiful shape 1969 Hondo HM5E F Style Electric Mandolin ... made to emulate the Martin F5 Mandolins of the same vintage. This one is in great shape and is all original but the strings. Our Tech did a great job setting it up. It now plays and sound just great! Truss rod works as it should. The neck has a slight relief in it which doesn't affect playing. No problems with any fretting out. It plays great!

There is no date stamp or serial number on these but the Headstock says since 1969 so we are calling it a 1969. Hondo made these into the 1970's but with Hondo II on the headstock. This one is much older. Some info we found said this one was made for the NAMM Show. I can see why. Its a very substantial Mandolin. Carved Top and back and it weighs in at just under 6 lbs. this is not a lightweight. The model number is HM5E.

This cool Harmony Mandolin has whisper low action that is such a pleasure to play...original nut, bridge, knobs, awesome sounding Hondo Pickup, Gold tuners and tailpiece..It even still has the tailpiece cover. Those are always missing. I can't tell you how RARE this is ...It has some dings and scratches but they are all superficial stuff. The frets are still in great shape ....Other than that, player dings...its in great shape. See pics..

Grab this one while you can....you want it...you can buy it now!! Grab it before someone else does..these vintage electric Mandos do not last long in my shop..I will continue to search them out..

Check out the original Hard Shell case...Beautiful interior with the accessory box still with it. All latches, hinges and original handle are still here and working great. We even have CASE CANDY! The original Case Keys and Polish Cloth are still in the accessory box. What a cool Mandolin Outfit!

Now this cool vintage Mandolin is cool but sold as is no returns as its vintage and used. Thanks for respecting that.
