Epiphone LP Jr body - Metallic Blue refin!

This was fun! A local luthier handed me a satin maroon body (check the PU routes) and said “have at it”.

I sanded everything down to 220, then 400.

I used the brilliant Behr Metallic blue gloss (sparkle) (4 coats) and Rustoleum lacquer (5 coats) to seal it in. [see photos for can info]

It’s certainly not some perfect Mark Jenny – style nitro, vintage-accurate, blah blah. It IS a fast and beautiful LP Jr body ready for its neck and hardware!

You can use it as-is or sand with 800/1000 wet/dry then hit it was Meguiar’s car polish (or something comparable). I dig it just as it is, but if I add another guitar to the wall I’m dead.
