The first Gibson model with an integrated pickup the Charlie Christian ES-150 is an iconic instrument.
This guitar was refinished/restored sometime in its past. The instrument exhibits several repaired stabilized cracks, but cleats are visible inside, the pickguard has a repaired crack too. While the pots appear to be original, the volume pot is difficult to turn (although it does!) and the Tone pot is almost frozen. Both knobs appear to be early 60’s Fender amp type! Tuners appear original! While the tailpiece is a perfect fit, it appears to be a RARE Gibson L12 style tail, worth a few hundred bucks on its own!
The binding has shrunk at both waists but have apparently been stabilized.
All that said… its still an early ES-150 with a CC PICKUP! Which sounds great by the way. If we were keeping it, we’d put in modern pots… it came to us in a chip board case, we’ll try to find better!
There are no visible stamps or numbers in the body, so based on specs., we believe it to be a ‘36.
