Body size at lower bout: 16 1/2 " Body Depth: 3" Scale length: 25" Nut: 1 11/16" Neck depth: .78/.86, 1st/10th frets

Materials: Solid hand graduated Tyrolean spruce soundboard; solid hand graduated Euro maple back and sides; one piece curly maple neck; solid ebony fingerboard and binding; rosewood headstock facing with abalone headstock logo; graphite nut.

Hardware: Handcarved ebony hardware includes contoured tailpiece and finger rest, compensated adjustable bridge. Chrome mini-Schaller tuners with ebony keys, floating Bartolini humbucker with volume and tone controls, endpin jack.

Notes: A European trained builder whose instruments combine traditional design with exacting contemporary standards of craft, Bryant Trenier is a fine visual designer as well as a meticulous fabricator. One of the most talented builders of his generation, Trenier has built a following on both sides of the Atlantic with his exquisitely crafted instruments, the products of his intensive research and deep commitment to the art of the acoustic archtop guitar.

A rarely seen model, Trenier's Motif archtop is a hybrid design, with roots in Orville Gibson's pioneering archtop guitars of the early 20th century. The 16+ inch Venetian cutaway body is arched in the conventional fashion, with an oval soundhole designed to enhance bass response and sustain, with excellent projection

The body is handcarved of solid figured Alpine maple, with a bookmatched X-braced European spruce top. At barely over 5lb, this guitar is exceptionally light in weight, highly responsive, and effortlessly balanced on the lap or the strap. The neck has an elegant gentle D profile, easy in the hand, with smooth low action over a fresh high precision setup. This striking example is in superb condition, with all original violin lacquer finish, and has been maintained without pick, buckle, or fingerboard wear. The voice of the instrument is clear and vibrant, with excellent sustain and sensitivity, faithfully conveyed to the amp by the floating Bartolini humbucking pickup.

A striking work of contemporary luthiery, the Trenier Motif delivers robust vintage tone with 21st century playability, in a design that synthesizes the best of old and new. As of this writing, we understand that Bryant has suspended new orders to work on his backlog, which starts at $10K at this writing. Grab this instant classic at an unbeatable price. One only, call now.

Setup: This instrument is strung with medium gauge nickel strings. The guitar will accommodate lighter or heavier gauge strings, according to preference. String action is set at 4/64" to 5/64" at the 12th fret, with moderate relief for acoustic playing with medium strings. The action may be lowered or raised to your requirements with the adjustable bridge.

Case: Deluxe black molded plush lined hardshell case.

100% unconditional 48 hour buyer approval on all instruments. (Many Reverb items are sold 'as described', with restricted return privileges. This instrument is fully returnable, for any reason.)
