Here's The Run Down:

This seems to possibly be one of the few, if not the only L-7 we've seen with block inlays! This is a 1935 Gibson L-7 Archtop Guitar that is a true survivor and plays/sounds beautifully as it sits. It is in the cosmetic condition shown, so be sure to see all of the pics & included video (more available upon request). I tried to take really good pics with a added video, so you can judge for yourself (see pics). The finish on this guitar has been professionally checked and has not been refinished or over sprayed. There are no repairs that we can find with the exception of a old re-fret and possibly a old reset. Its very hard to tell, so look at the black light video and draw your own conclusion. Either way, this guitar does not need a reset and plays great as it sits with some room left on the bridge for adjustment. The neck is straight with a working truss rod, good frets and great action at just under 3/32" of string height at the 12th fret. There are a few cracks present that show no signs of repair, are stable and do not move when pushed on (2 on top and one on the side as pictured). The Original Grover Pegs operate perfectly. The finish does have checking, dings, chips, scratches, marks and/or flaws here and there as pictured, but still respectable for a guitar that's almost 90 years old. The face of the headstock is nice shape, but does show its age. In my video, I mention and show what I described a black pick or wear marks on the front, but realized after that they are magic marker touch ups that are hard to see without the black light. The binding has shrunk slightly in one of the belly areas, it is missing on the entire underside of the neck and there is a short area where the back has slightly started to separate from the side which should be a easy fix (pictured) There will be discoloration and corrosion of all metal hardware as you would expect. Cosmetically road worn, but no major repairs, it plays/sounds great and is a true Gibson Pre War Survivor!

I've never seen a Vintage Gibson Truss Rod Tool, but I'm sure they made them. Included is one that may be a true pre war truss rod tool, a vintage period correct leather strap that needs repair and 4 or 5 old picks.

The included Original Tweed Hard Case is in fair condition. It will show wear and tear overall and one hinge is not connected. All latches and handle are present and work as they should.

Make sure you view all of the pics and ask questions if you have any concerns before buying.
