The Leedy Harpaphone is a set of vintage song bells that was manufactured and marketed in the early 1930s. It features extra-wide bell bars with a range one octave lower than that of a regular glockenspiel. These bars, rails and resonators were connected to this heavy duty steel stand so they could be safely moved around from studio to studio. This particular model was used in Los Angeles recording studios and can be heard on many films, television shows and records.
Included is a soft cover for the instrument.
