About This Listing

This is a very nice Japanese built Silvertone Classical guitar...sturdy build...unfortunately this one needs some TLC to get back to its shine...has slight bellying on bridge...had older strings that, when played, produced a nice middle/ low tone and great resonance.... looks like someone had done some sloppy repair work in the past on the neck and bridge....beautiful woods...believe solid wood, but could be solid wood laminate the Japanese were renowned for....cool binding and sound hole designs...has "Simpsons- Sears Limited" distributor on vintage label....there is an impact crack on the lower side...someone put a screw with plastic washer as the strap button...honest wear on a beautiful neck...frets show much life left....slight separation at the heel joint (see pics)...this baby has seen better days....but it definitely needs that TLC and repair to get it back to, what I believe, would be a great player with vintage tone....
