Stunning and brilliant tone. Your hand will love the neck, which is wide and thin -- just feels good and not like that of most classical guitars of this vintage. There had been a neck repair at some point in its long history. The action is low; the saddle has been filed to allow the strings slight clearance over the saddle slot. Appears to have been a repair at the neck-headstock joint as the cleanup of the glue could have been better, or possibly some extra glue that escaped the initial quality control inspection. Photos show both of these repairs, both of which are solid. There's some finish crinkling around the strap peg and in an area on the back of the guitar which might be finish damage or might be a dried adhesive. General wear includes scratches and dings, less than what might be expected of a guitar of this vintage. The saddle is carved from something other than bone, maybe ebony. Fingerboard is ebony. Bridge is rosewood. Sides, back and neck are maple. Top is spruce. All solid woods (not laminates).
