Put classic SSL analog tone at the center of your desktop studio with the BiG Six 16-channel desktop mixer/interface. Pure SSL analog on the front end and a class-compliant USB 96 Khz / 24-bit interface at the output, Big Six will add warmth and depth to your digital tracks as only SSL can.

The SuperAnalogue signal chain in Big Six features four mic/line preamps with characteristic SSL punch and wide dynamic range to capture everything from a whisper to a scream with stunning detail. The preamps have switchable phantom power and a true HiZ (1 MΩ) impedance switch to correctly accommodate the direct recording of electric guitar, bass, and other passive coil inputs.

Each channel's 3-band EQ is patterned after the classic E-series and matches its EQ curves on the broadest setting. Dual independent headphone sends can be placed before or after the channel fader for true cue control. The four recording channels feature switchable program dependant compressors with a variable threshold. Four balanced inserts have also been included so you can hook up more vintage processing externally.

And it gets better. SSL included the legendary G-Series bus compressor to apply that all-important glue to your mix before it hits the converters. Using the same circuit topology as the original design found on the SL 4000 G-Series console, the compressor is designed to be set early on and mixed into obtaining that elusive "finished" sound.

The USB interface has 16 high-quality A/D and D/A converters connected to the SuperAnalogue signal chain in BiG SiX. The first 12 channels are split across the first 12 inputs/outputs and can be switched pre/post fader. USB channels 13-16 route to/from External inputs and Master buses. Alternatively, sends 9/10 and 11/12 can be fed from the stereo cue buses, which is perfect for additional ITB (In The Box) processing.
