Vintage 1960'S Pair of Original API 550 Modules w/Original Power Supply Free Shipping CONUS!

Vintage pair of 1960's API 550 modules as owned by Motown legend Bob Olhsson.  Bob has given me some of his vintage gear to auction as he is moving and not able to use them anymore.  He has owned these modules since the 60's and they were used on many, many classic recordings.  They have not been previously touched internally, nor modded in the past.  The transformers in these are MONSTERS and sound MASSIVE.  Nothing like modern versions.  ***These are NOT the later "A's" but the original 550's from the 1960's.  They come with the original power supply and cables which can power up to 4 modules.  They can also be used in a 500 series rack but as the API rep told us, "But you have the power supply!  Why use a rack???".  However, it's understandable that some will like the convenience of a rack if they already own one.  One very important note about the original power supply: the AC input is on a terminal strip so you need to be very careful and know what you're doing.  Be forewarned.  It could be potentially dangerous.  If you have no experience with this use a rack.  Cool?  And yes, of course they can be easily used in a console.

***the first three (3) photos of the guts of these units display the original state BEFORE the tune up and new caps, etc. from British Audio so they perform like they were new. Totally necessary if you want to use them right away and not spend more money.  They also have new LED's so you know the units are on if you use them in a rack.  Not super important if you put them in a console but still handy otherwise.  They will perform like new and have a warranty from British Audio which will be included in the sale.  The last five (5) pics are AFTER the restoration from British Audio.  They work beautifully, are super clean and perform perfectly at unity gain.  All still point-to-point and fantastic.
