Custom One-of-a-Kind Vintage API Mini Summing Console Built for & formerly owned by legendary American Songwriter John Hiatt (check out the last picture).

This console was custom built by Aurthur Sloatman at Midget Electronics in Nashville for John Hiatt’s private studio. It’s an amazing sounding console in a small format that packs a big, clear punch. Your getting a vintage API mix buss with 10 mono summing channels and a giant mix bus insert!

This miniature analog vintage API summing mixer is truly one of a kind. 6 Vintage API 2503 transformers, 4 John Hardy 990c’s, 2 API 2520 op amps. Compact and as beautiful as it looks.

- 10 channels of input w/ independent Pan L,C,R or Mono 
- 10 Volume knobs 
- Large monitor volume knob
- A & B Speaker Options for two sets of speakers 
- Stereo, Mono, and Pan Switching on all 10 channels
- Sources 1 & 2 running Vintage API 2503 Transformers w/ John Hardy 990c op amps as 2 Stereo Inputs via XLR labeled Tape 1 & 2. These can be used to listen to your DAW mix or other incoming gear.
- MIX Stereo Buss w/ Vintage API 2503 transformers and API 2520 Op amps. Insert your favorite outboard gear via the mix buss insert
- One long P&G Mix fader 
- Analog VU’s
- Buss Insert switch 
- XLR Insert I/O
- Custom power cable set

This is fantastic for printing mixes, stems, guitars, drums, whatever you want to go through a vintage API console bus for that tone as well as monitoring through your speakers.

Arthur “Midget” Sloatman is a long time designer and technician. Beginning with a decade of  work as Frank Zappa’s studio technician at the Utility Research Muffin Kitchen, he has logged hours for AKG, the original Los Angeles Record Plant, Blackbird Studios, BSS, and many others. While responsible for designing and building the audio and power overlays at Blackbird Studios in Nashville, TN, he also refurbished and re-designed their now legendary “Silver Buss” Neve 8078. Arthur continues to provide service and custom electronics through his own enterprise, Midget Electronics.
