7-ply Cross-Laminated North American Maple
These fully North American Maple Shells adapt well in a variety of playing environments. These shells offer sensitive responding drums with a sharp attack, followed with a wide dynamic tuning range.

45-Degree Angle
Every drum is cut and hand-sanded to a 45-degree angle, 1/16" away from the outside edge.

Radio Frequency Shell Technology
All USA Ludwig Shells are produced using Radio Frequency Shell Technology to increased stability through out the drum. Using a process involving Ludwig's original bladder molds, R.F.S.T.'s unique bonding system -combined with a specialized, time-tested adhesive cures each shell evenly over the entire surface of the shell.
