This is a very comfortable bass, both to play and wear. Obviously the neck and the weight are a little more than your average 4 string, but still very reasonable. With the thin neck and tight string spacing at the nut (jazz bass like), I went from my 4 string right to this Conklin 9 string bass with no problem at all.
This is a one of a kind Conklin 9 string Sidewinder bass, made by Bill Conklin in Springfield Mo in 2000.
9 string, 36 fret, ABM piezo bridge, stereo output (switchable mono) Bartolini pickup, active preamp. Walnut top and headstock capo, Ash body, maple/purple heart neck thru, brown ebony fretboard. Scale length 36", string spacing at the nut aprox 2 11/16", string spacing at the bridge aprox 4 5/8"
Comes with Modern flight/road case.
