Gibson SJ-200 Unique Finish One of a Kind w/Michael Godard Artwork from Dishwalla's Opaline Cover

The artwork had always been a mystery to me until recent when I was informed by bassist Scot Alexander that the artist Michael Godard created the artwork on this guitar which was also Dishwalla's album cover for Opaline. Great to have more to the story on this. 

This Gibson SJ-200 is a verified from Gibson unique and one of a kind guitar. There were no others created with this image. The sound is beautiful and rich. I have a contact from Gibson that can verify the identity as the below email indicates there were no COA's issued for this custom guitar. 
As far as condition, this guitar has been babied. One owner (me) and always kept indoors and in it's velour case which you will get as well. Because it is so unique, it has been cared for with intricate detail. If you have any specific question, please feel free to contact me.

Here’s the information I received from the Bozeman factory:

We worked with a company for a very short period of time that had a process where they could transfer any JPEG image onto any surface.

We did a few guitars before that relationship ended.

This guitar was one of those. It was a unique piece.

Before 2014 and the inclusion of certificates with all of our limited runs, we rarely did COA’s, except in cases where it was requested such as the Lennon 70th runs, a pilot run (like the first run of True Vintage’s) or other special situations.

I do not believe this guitar ever had a certificate. It is indeed a Gibson made in Bozeman, but the artwork was outsourced.

We can indeed verify that it was constructed here in Bozeman. But from that time period it is next to impossible to track down any specifics of this one-off as it was not a production model.
