Not the first skateboard guitar but definitely the coolest with it's clear acrylic body and decked out (get it?) design.
The neck, pickguard pickup covers ad accent pieces of this guitar are made of hundreds of slices of broken, reclaimed skateboards I got from my friend Ben Paik at Woby Design. Even the fingerboard is carved from a skate deck (all of these pieces are maple).
The body is a 1" thick piece of acrylic I salvaged from the remodel dumpster of a TV network's anchor desk.
25.5" scale, 12" radius, zero fret, Custom New Perspectives Music humbucker pickups by Geminipickups.com with individual kill switches and master vol/tone. Ready to rock. Weighs about 10 lbs - two pounds less than my 76 p-bass!
