I built this drum recently for a super creative client who was a giant fan of The Lord of the Rings Trilogy. It is a hybrid stave shell made from Maple and Cedar. All gold hardware. Featuring The inscription from the One Ring hand burnt into the wood. Finally we talked everything off with a super high gloss finish with a very subtle natural to Black fade.

Apart from being a really aesthetically fun drum, this instrument really has a lot going on under the hood. The mixture of a super hard species like Maple and a very soft species like Cedar produces a very fat sounding drum with plenty of attack, focus and articulation. Top that off with its 42 strand snare wires, super deep snare beds, a 5/8" or (40 ply equivalent) thick shell, hybrid roundover, and 45ÃÂÃÂÃÂÃÂÃÂÃÂÃÂð edges, and you've got a workhorse drum that is capable everything you might ask of it

Building this drum has been an absolute artistic guilty pleasure for me. It checks all the boxes, visually intriguing, Workhorse instrument, and it sounds great. I genuinely can't wait to build another one of these, and I hope that you choose to add this drum to your arsenal today!

If you purchase this drum today, we will be building it for you from scratch. This allows some room for customization if you would like, we can change the size of the drum or some other parameters, feel free to shoot us a message and let us know. Otherwise we will build it exactly as you see it, and ship it off to you!
