About This Listing

Well-known for being John Bonham's snare of choice, the Ludwig Supraphonic's chrome-plated, seamless, 1.7mm beaded aluminum shell has been a critical component of the sound that fueled the most hit recordings in history. This 6.5x14 snare drum sports elegant-looking Imperial lugs, 2.3mm flanged hoops, and P88AC Throw Off. Professional musicians choose the Supraphonic time after time for its bright, crisp attack with the perfect balance of full resonant tone and snare crack. It's sensitive enough to handle the most refined brush work, and dynamic enough to cut through a Marshall stack. If ever there was a desert-island snare drum, the USA made Ludwig Supraphonic is it!

Ludwig B-stock snare drums come from Ludwig with cosmetic flaws, some more noticeable than others. The drums are structurally sound - shells are round, strainers engage, and tension rods thread straight - but each drum may have minor plating imperfections, scratches/scuffs, signs of demo use/handling, or other minor issues. We try to capture the most offensive blemishes in the images, and sometimes even those are hard to locate. These drums are sold 'as-is', and all imperfections are not covered under warranty.
