1981 Hamer Special Blue

Originally based right here in our hometown of Chicago, Hamer is original "boutique" guitar company. They took existing designs and tailored them for modern players. The Special is their "Gibson" styled double cut with F-Style hardtail bridge for maximum resonance. Add in some Dimarzio pickups and you have a guitar that just can't be f*cked with.

This one has a seen plenty of action over the years but no cracks or breaks to be found. This is the first time we've gotten one in this amazing shade of blue which has aged gracefully to a slightly turquoise-ish hue after years in bars. There are small paint chips and some impressions from where it sat on a strap in a case. 

If you're played an early Hamer then you'll be right at home on this neck, it has the standard neck carve. Looks like it was possibly re-fretted along the way, it has medium sized wire in good shape. 

All hardware and electronics appears to be original.
