Akai Professional MPK Mini Plus II 37-Key MIDI Keyboard Controller - Grey 123016602

Three octaves of expressive keyboard playing meet hands-on MPC beatmaking in the Akai Professional MPK Mini Plus II 37-key MIDI keyboard controller. Its upgraded mini keybed accommodates melodies, chords and bass lines, while velocity- and pressure-sensitive RGB MPC pads add dynamic expression to finger drumming and sample triggering. An expanded arpeggiator and creative tools such as Chord, Note Repeat, Glitch, Mutate and Strum encourage experimentation with rhythmic patterns, harmonies and arrangements. With integration for popular digital audio workstations (DAWs), MPC software and external MIDI hardware, the MPK Mini Plus II brings versatile production control to a compact, portable format.

37-Key Mini Keybed and MPC Pads for Hands-On Expression

The MPK Mini Plus II's upgraded 37-key mini keybed spans three octaves, providing room for melodic passages, chord voicings and expressive performances. Eight velocity- and pressure-sensitive RGB MPC pads support finger drumming, sample triggering and clip launching. Eight assignable 360-degree knobs and a push encoder offer hands-on parameter control, while dedicated pitch-bend and modulation wheels allow real-time performance adjustments. A 160x80 full-color LCD provides visual feedback for navigating settings and monitoring controller functions.

Arpeggiator and Performance Tools for Creative Exploration

The expanded arpeggiator transforms played notes into repeating sequences for developing melodic and rhythmic patterns. Chord mode provides additional options for creating harmonies, while Note Repeat supports rhythmic performances and beatmaking. Glitch, Mutate and Strum introduce further possibilities for experimenting with patterns and musical phrasing, helping producers explore new ideas through hands-on performance.

Hardware and Software Integration for Versatile Music Production

The MPK Mini Plus II integrates with MPC Standalone, MPC Desktop and compatible DAWs, providing hands-on access to transport controls, software instruments and production functions. USB-C connectivity, a five-pin MIDI output and three CV/Gate outputs extend control to external synthesizers and compatible modular equipment. The included Studio Instrument Collection provides more than 1,000 sounds from AIR Music Tech, Moog Music and Akai Professional, complemented by Native Instruments Komplete Select (Akai Edition) and MPC Beats. From expressive keyboard playing and beatmaking to external hardware control, the Akai Professional MPK Mini Plus II connects musical ideas with the tools to develop them.
