Jupiter JTS-687 Tenor Saxophone.

Jupiter has become one of the most popular instrument makers sold in the US.  Jupiter has become a consistent producer of good quality instruments at an affordable price, and a frequently recommended by teachers.  The 687 is the predecessor to the current 700 model.

This instrument had one previous owner who was an adult amateur/hobbyist.  It shows some light wear to the lacquer and a few small dings from normal use, but still looks great overall.  Cosmetically 8.5-9/10

The saxophone has been completely disassembled, cleaned, sanitized, lubricated, and adjusted.  It also had a couple pads and bumpers replaced and now the sax is ready to go!  The saxophone plays perfectly from top to bottom with a great open sound, great response, and even scale. Great ergonomic, quick, fluid mechanism. The pads and bumpers are in excellent condition with lots of mileage left on them.

The saxophone comes with a like-new Belmonte mouthpiece, a ligature, a cap, an oversized plug (to ensure it's secure in case), and a heavy-duty nylon neckstrap.  Everything comes in an upgraded Protec contoured sax case with zippered pockets for accessories and shoulder strap for easy carrying.  The case also has loops in the zippers so that it can be locked with a small padlock.  The case is in great used condition.  The interior shows almost no wear - cosmetically 9+/10

Everything comes in an upgraded ProTech hard nylon gig-style case.  The case is zippered with both handles and a shoulder strap, as well as backpack straps for convenient carriage.  The contoured shape is slightly more compact and more modern looking than a regular case.  The case also has zippered compartment for supplies, music, and other accessories. The interior Is clean and odor free and is cosmetically 9+/10. The exterior shows only light wear from being stored and used.  The pulls on the main zipper are missing, but it still functions well.  Cosmetically the exterior is an 8/10.

This sax would be perfect for a serious student, an amateur wanting a high quality instrument, a doubler, or a pro that needs a good, reliable backup tenor. This would also be a perfect marching band horn for a hs or college student.  The equivalent model currently retails for new for $3,529.00, so this is a great chance to save on an excellent, high quality, lightly used instrument.
