Collings Mandolins - 2000 MT2 Sunburst - Used

This MT2 dates back to the early days of the Bill Collings mandolin project, and wow does it ever have the bark and chop to show for it. Over 25 years of play has broken-in the carved, solid Adirondack spruce top beautifully and has really delivered a responsive mandolin, equally at home playing Bill Monroe standards as Bach Sonatas. The sunburst, flame maple back and sides are absolutely stunning, and deliver some serious projection.

There is a pickup installed into the bridge, as well as a Cumberland bound Ebony pickguard that was previously installed here at our shop. This MT2 was recently sent back to Collings for a bit of a refresh, as the neck was refinished back to original factory spec. No surprises here, it looks flawless, and is only detectable under a UV blacklight. While at Collings the frets were also PLEK'd and polished, and ready for another 25 years of play. Here in Very Good condition, this is a wonderful, newly factory refreshed Collings mandolin.
