Meinl 20" Byzance Extra Thin Hammered Crash - 1618g - Very Good Condition

The Meinl 20" Byzance Extra Thin Hammered Crash is a hand-hammered B20 crash known for its dark, trashy character, huge spread, and exceptionally responsive feel.

At 1618g, this 20" example opens very easily and produces a broad, powerful wash without feeling stiff or overly heavy. It has a warm, organic voice that works beautifully for rock, worship, pop, fusion, studio work, and players who like large crashes that respond effortlessly.

Weight: 1618g

Condition: Very Good / Structurally Excellent

• No cracks

• More pronounced stick marks from normal use
• Mild fading and cosmetic wear
• Overall shape and structure remain excellent

The heavier stick marks and cosmetic wear are the primary reasons I am grading this cymbal Very Good rather than Excellent.

Sonic Splice Notes

This model has one of the most satisfying large-crash sounds in the Byzance lineup. The extra-thin construction lets the entire 20" cymbal move easily, producing a huge, warm and slightly trashy wash without requiring a heavy stroke.

At 1618g, this example feels very responsive for its size. It definitely shows that it has been played, but structurally it remains excellent and the sound is the real highlight.
