Seymour Duncan Apollo J-Bass, 4 String Pickup Set

The Seymour Duncan Apollo J-Bass pickup set delivers articulate, focused bass tone with minimal hum interference. Hand-built in Santa Barbara using Alnico 5 rod magnets and vacuum wax potting, these noiseless pickups maintain the clarity and punch demanded by modern bass players while eliminating the 60-cycle hum that plagues traditional designs. The linear humbucking architecture sits cleanly under black covers without sacrificing the tight, defined response that makes J-bass pickups essential for contemporary styles.

Tone & Construction

The linear humbucking design positions two coils side-by-side under the cover, canceling electromagnetic noise while preserving high-end articulation and midrange presence. Vacuum wax potting eliminates microphonic feedback and squeal, ensuring rock-solid performance under stage conditions and aggressive playing. Hand-ground Alnico 5 magnets deliver the classic J-bass character—punchy lows and defined highs—that sits perfectly in any mix.

Technical Specifications

Neck pickup dimensions of 3.6" long × 0.72" wide fit standard J-bass routes with 56 mm string spacing at the neck and 59 mm at the bridge. The 9.25 Ohm DCR and 2-conductor shielded cable ensure clean signal transmission with minimal noise pickup. These specs confirm compatibility with standard 4-string J-bass configurations while delivering the electrical characteristics professional players expect.
