The Gibson Custom Les Paul Axcess Custom Stopbar in Peacock Widow combines the refined appointments of a Les Paul Custom with the modern construction and playability of Gibson's Axcess design. Part of the limited-run Greatest Hits 2 collection, this instrument features a hand-selected AAA figured maple top, weight-relieved mahogany body, and contoured neck heel. Its custom Peacock Widow gloss finish extends across the body and neck, complemented by nickel hardware and distinctive Les Paul Custom appointments.

The mahogany body features Gibson's Axcess weight relief and a carved two-piece AAA figured maple top. Seven-ply black and white binding outlines the top, while the sculpted body contours and contoured heel provide improved comfort and access to the upper frets. The Peacock Widow finish highlights the figured maple grain, with matching color across the back, sides, and neck. The absence of a pickguard leaves the figured top fully visible.

The mahogany neck features Gibson's Les Paul Axcess Custom profile, measuring approximately .835" at the first fret and .985" at the twelfth. Its contoured heel and reinforced Apex headstock are designed for upper-fret accessibility and structural stability. The bound ebony fingerboard features tapered mother-of-pearl block inlays and Jescar medium-jumbo fretwire. A 24.75" scale length, Corian nut, and modern Teflon-wrapped truss rod complete the neck construction.

The electronics feature a Gibson 490R humbucker in the neck position and a 498T humbucker in the bridge, both with four-conductor wiring. Push-pull tone controls provide series/parallel switching for additional pickup voicings, while the traditional dual-volume layout and three-way selector maintain familiar Les Paul operation. A nickel ABR-1 Historic bridge and stopbar tailpiece provide the hardware foundation, complemented by Grover tuners with nickel keystone buttons. A Gibson Custom Les Paul case and Certificate of Authenticity are included.
