JICO Omnia 44A 7 Aurora Improved Nude (black headshell)
Our users rate Reverb
JICO Omnia J44A 7 Aurora Improved Nude (black headshell), a premium DJ cartridge. The barcode, 4951586011750, matches the UPC listed for the Jico J-AAC0203 Omnia J44A 7 Aurora Improved Nude.
What it is
A moving-magnet DJ cartridge pre-mounted on a JICO headshell, with stylus guard included, made in Japan.
It's a modern take on the Shure M44-7, built to reproduce its powerful bass and smooth output.
The "Nude" stylus tip is entirely diamond rather than a bonded tip.
Specs: 8 mV output, 47 kΩ recommended load, 0.7 mil spherical tip, 3.5-4.5 g tracking force, 5.6 g weight. That tracking force is DJ-grade, not audiophile-grade.
The Aurora stylus glows under UV light.
Value
It's discontinued or out of stock at most sellers I found. Pit Bull Audio listed it at $209.99, and zZounds shows it as no longer available.
JICO's 2022 Japan launch price was ¥27,200 including tax.
