Vintage 1978 Electro-Harmonix "The Silencer" Line Noise EliminatorUp for sale is a clean, all-original 1978 Electro-Harmonix The Silencer vintage noise gate. Originally marketed as a "Line Noise Eliminator", this late-'70s NYC classic is a fantastic, straightforward utility pedal designed to tame single-coil hum, noisy vintage gain stages, or high-output signal chains.
Condition & Functionality:
- Functionality: 100% operational. The gate triggers reliably, the threshold pot sweeps smoothly across its full range, and the bypass switch functions perfectly.
- Originality: Completely un-modified internally and externally. The factory wiring remains entirely stock with no added modern power sockets or drill holes.
- Cosmetics: The chassis is in nice, clean cosmetic condition with crisp text and minimal surface wear for an effect unit approaching 50 years old.
- Notable Imperfections: The original stick-on rubber feet on the bottom plate are missing. (No box or paperwork included).
