Vintage Sunn Beta Lead Head – Original USA-Made – Custom 4-Pin Footswitch

Original vintage Sunn Beta Lead solid-state guitar amplifier head, made in the USA by Sunn Musical Equipment Co.

The Beta Lead has developed a serious following for its huge, aggressive solid-state sound, massive low end, and distinctive drive character. These are especially well known among doom, sludge, stoner rock, and heavy alternative players, but they’re also capable of very usable cleaner and pushed tones.

This example is in very nice cosmetic condition for its age. The front panel presents extremely well, the original-style cabinet covering is clean, and the hardware shows only normal age-related wear. Please review the photos closely for the exact condition.

The amp features two independent channels with separate Drive, Bass, Mid, Treble, Reverb, and Level controls, along with a master volume. The rear panel includes the original channel accessory connections, master accessory loop connections, line connections, and dual speaker outputs.

A particularly useful addition is the custom-built footswitch, specifically made to interface correctly with the Sunn Beta Lead’s original 4-pin footswitch connector. Original Sunn footswitches can be difficult to locate, so having a functional dedicated replacement is a definite plus. Footswitch and cable are included.
