Electro-Harmonix Ring Thing Single Sideband Modulator

Unlock unparalleled modulation capabilities and harmonic complex soundscapes with the Electro-Harmonix Ring Thing. This powerful analog-modeling processor expands far beyond traditional ring modulation by utilizing advanced Single Sideband (SSB) technology. This specialized circuitry lets you separate upper and lower sidebands, isolate individual modulation frequencies, and execute precise pitch transpositions, opening up a staggering universe of metallic textures, organic tremolos, and sweeping phase shifts.

Features

• Advanced Multi-Mode Modulation: Features four distinct operating modes, including standard Ring Modulation, Upper Sideband Modulation, Lower Sideband Modulation, and highly accurate Pitch Shift tuning.
• Instant Pitch Tracking: Equipped with a dedicated "Tune" footswitch that lets you analyze an incoming instrument signal in real time and automatically lock the carrier frequency to whatever note you are currently playing.
• Fully Polyphonic Pitch Shifting: Delivers stable, smooth pitch transpositions up or down a full octave, allowing you to morph your instrument into an organic 12-string guitar, subtle detuned chorus, or heavy bass synth.
• Dynamic Waveform Selector: Offers multiple LFO wave profiles—including Square, Sine, Sawtooth, and Reverse Sawtooth options—with comprehensive Rate and Depth parameters to drive unique rhythmic filter movements.
• Expression Pedal Integration: Features an onboard Expression jack allowing you to manually sweep the modulation frequency, dynamically bend pitches, or morph between parameters on the fly during a performance.
• Preset Recall Storage: Save and instantly recall up to 9 user-programmable presets directly on the main chassis via the preset encoder knob or external controls.
