UTC huge 60's LS-30 transformer mix bus box we rep 111c style for use w/ api neve ssl urei preamp compressor eq

Absolutely incredible very rare pair of vintage 60s era UTC LS-30 transformer repeat coils, their top model equivalent to 111c (actually better). Amazing specs: The LS-30 has a published frequency response of only 1dB down from 7hz-50Khz (!) and at +23 dbm. Use them to add authentic vintage analog mojo to your mix bus and other sources. Suitable for mastering. Great on drum bus, overheads, etc. The stereo pair is dual mono so you can use them on different mono sources at same time if desired, such as kick and snare. The LS-30 transformers are the finest line level transformers UTC ever manufactured and is the top dog. Housed and wired in a large desktop box (approx 8x8x8) with rubber cushioned feet, black metal neutrik german XLR's, balanced shielded internal wire. The transformers are so big the only way they fit the box top is sideways, with their logos seen on the sides. You may notice another seller has a pair listed for 1595 "on sale" for 1200 without XLR's, well here is your chance to pick some up with XLR's for hundreds less.

Compared to we 111c, they have better transient response so are more tight and punchy in the lows, and finer respolution detailed in the highs. More solid and weighty. 111c are more mellow, ie slower softer more laid back in tone and dynamics, fine for the 40s/50s era telephone lines and music of that era, but a bit soft for more "modern" music (say anything 80s to present). Myself and other producers prefer these big UTC over the 111c's as they are more focused and solid and handle modern style dynamics better. They are wired 1:1 ratio to use anywhere in line level signal chains...ie on buses, after preamps, before/after compressors & eq's to beef them up, between any line level gear, etc. While tracking or in post. Totally passive, no power needed. Picture of the boxes is actually the rear jack view shown (jacks are on back for clean cable runs). Looks same on front just no jacks.

USES: mix bus glue, adds punch, depth, weight and real analog harmonic color for use on mix bus, stems, tracks, inserts, after preamps and any other line level gear such as before or after compressors, effects, synths, analog keyboards, samplers, drum machines, while tracking or in post production etc to fatten then up and smooth out transients over the whole tonal range very effectively gluing things in place. Makes mixing easier, less need for compression and eq. Passive, no power needed. Solidly built with german made XLR's and internal shielded wire.
