In the heart of the entrance floor are the Symphony Desktop microphone preamps offering up to 75 dB of gain. The design of the preamp includes Apogee's unique Advanced Stepped Gain architecture that guarantees ultra-weak noise and distortion regardless of the source, from the drum beat to the delicate fingering on an acoustic guitar. With variable impedance settings on microphone and instrument inputs, Symphony Desktop optimises the input stage to better match your specific devices, for deep bass and clear treble. Selectable Apogee Alloy preamp emulations add character, attitude and maybe a little grain to your recordings.

Two high-power headphone outputs

Symphony Desktop has two completely independent, individually routeable ultra-low impedance headphone outputs, both equipped with dual-sum ESS DACs. The output power range is adapted to the type of helmet expected: the front panel output can drive virtually any helmet, while the rear panel output is specially designed for high-efficiency helmets
