sE Electronics V7 SWITCH Studio-grade Handheld Microphone with Magnetic Switch, Supercardioid

The V7 Switch
The V7 Switch is a dynamic microphone built for the stage, sharing the same game-changing benefits as its sibling, the V7 dynamic microphone. It's designed for performers who need dependable, natural sound reproduction in demanding live environments — whether for vocals, talkback, rehearsal, or instruments. sE Electronics designed the V7 Switch to deliver vast amounts of gain before feedback, exceptional off-axis rejection, and rugged build quality, all wrapped in a beveled-edge housing that keeps the mic comfortably in hand during performance. With the addition of a recessed, lockable on/off switch, the V7 Switch brings extra performance control to the reliable V7 platform, making it a natural fit for talkback duties, live shows, and rehearsal spaces alike.

Uncompromising Gain and Rejection
One of the standout qualities of the V7 Switch is its ability to deliver vast amounts of gain before feedback — a critical feature for any microphone used on loud stages or in close proximity to monitors and speakers. Paired with exceptional off-axis rejection, the mic captures the performer's voice while minimizing bleed from surrounding instruments and stage noise. The result, according to sE Electronics, is a mic that captures your voice in the most natural way you've ever heard on stage — even from behind a console, where clarity and isolation matter most.
Silent, Reliable Switching
The V7 Switch's defining addition is its recessed, lockable on/off switch, built around a proven reed element. This design ensures silent, click-free operation, so engaging or disengaging the mic never introduces unwanted noise into a live mix or recording. The lockable feature also prevents accidental switching mid-performance, giving performers and engineers confidence that the mic will behave exactly as expected, whether it's being used for talkback communication between stage and console or for direct vocal performance.
Rugged Build and Voice Reproduction
Beyond its switching capabilities, the V7 Switch is built to last. Its all-metal housing and beveled spring grille protect against the wear and tear of touring and daily use, while a patented integrated shockmount helps isolate the capsule from handling noise and vibration. Inside, a specialized supercardioid aluminum voice coil supports accurate, natural voice reproduction, rounding out a microphone that combines durability with performance-ready sound characteristics for vocals, instruments, and everything in between.
Why We Love This
Our gear experts appreciate the V7 Switch because it solves real stage problems. Its vast gain before feedback and exceptional off-axis rejection mean vocals stay clear and controlled even in loud, chaotic environments. The silent, click-free reed-element switch lets performers manage talkback or mic activation without disrupting a live mix. Combined with a rugged all-metal housing, beveled grille, and integrated shockmount, it's a microphone built to survive touring life while consistently delivering natural, reliable vocal reproduction night after night.
