SABIAN 17" STRATUS CRASH

The SABIAN 17" STRATUS CRASH delivers quick, controlled response with a tight feel that cuts through without overwhelming the mix. Built for modern recording and production applications, this cymbal balances explosive attack with musical articulation, tracking with clarity in layered arrangements yet holding up in high-volume sessions. The lower tone and rapid decay maintain crash definition even in dense mixes.

Sonic Character & Tone

Quick decay and a lower fundamental tone create a crash that clears fast—essential for contemporary sessions where clarity and separation matter. The explosive attack cuts decisively on tape, while the warm wash provides enough sustain for musical spread without sacrificing articulation or clouding adjacent cymbals in the stereo field.

Construction & Materials

B20 bronze combined with STRATUS high impact hammering produces a cymbal engineered for studio tracking and live-to-tape recording demands. The thin weight classification contributes directly to the fast response and quick decay that define this model's recording character and mix placement.
