Sabian XSR 22" Monarch Cymbal

The XSR 22" Monarch delivers the feel of a vintage garage-sale find—responsive under the stick with a direct, focused character that cuts through a mix without excessive wash. This medium-thin ride cymbal combines classic aesthetics with practical versatility, making it an excellent value addition to any setup that demands both crashability and definition.

Tone & Response

Built from B20 bronze using proven technology from Sabian's higher-end lines, the Monarch produces a dry sound with short sustain and clear stick definition—ideal for players who need a ride that articulates cleanly without lingering overtones. The lathed bottom and unlathed top profile contributes to its focused, workable character across dynamic playing.

Construction & Design

The medium-thin profile and multi-hammering technique create a cymbal with excellent crashability and vintage appearance, while the 2212-gram weight ensures responsiveness without sacrificing projection. This is a cymbal engineered to perform, not simply to look the part.
