Original 1957 Les Paul Gold Top with early no sticker PAF pickups. Only two serial numbers away from Duane Allman’s famous GT.
The top has been refinished some time in the 70s or 80s. It had Grovers on at some point and now sports a set of mid 60s Klusons with adapter bushings. Neck pickup was opened and the cavities have been shielded with graphite paint.

Other than that it’s in a very good all original condition with no breaks or repairs. It still has all the important original parts including the white M69 pickup rings and the ABR-1 bridge assembly.

It was purchased by its current owner in a small guitar shop in Paris in 1985 and has barely been played since then. It is still in the same condition as it was back in 85.

This is maybe the most spectacular sounding 50s Gold Top I’ve ever had the pleasure of playing. It has this big, smooth tone with lots of clarity and amazing dynamics. No surprise those very early PAF are so highly sought after. This is the closest thing you will find to the famous early Duane Allman tone and the next best thing to a 58-60 sunburst Les paul for a fraction of the cost.
