For sale is this old vintage Violin Bass case, which, with its unusual shape, strongly resembles the old Vox Teardrop cases from the 1960s that were made to fit Vox Violin Basses.

However, I cannot say for certain whether this is actually an original Vox case, as I could not find any markings or labels to confirm its origin.

What I can definitely say is: This thing is massive! :) The case is heavy, extremely solid and provides some serious protection for an old Violin Bass. A Höfner 500/1 Violin Bass fits inside as shown in the pictures. Of course, the bass pictured is for demonstration purposes only and is not included in the sale. This listing is for the case only.

Considering its age, the case is in good used condition. Visually, it has naturally collected plenty of signs of age and use over the decades, but technically it is still in good working order. The latches work properly and open and close without any problems.

A cool old vintage case with plenty of patina - perfect for a Höfner 500/1 or another suitable Violin Bass.
